Who we are

Foundational shaping for life

Parklands Little Learners is a brand-new facility dedicated to grow and develop young minds with an emphasis on ‘real play’. Creating an environment where children can thrive. Parklands Little Learners is designed to excite little ones while beginning to teach them important life skills and becoming all that God has created them to be.

The Centre will have waterplay, sandpits, bike tracks, forts as well as barnyard animals and reptiles.

Parklands Little learners offers preschool and development programs for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
We are committed to nurturing children through a fun, stimulating learning environment while integrating Christian values into all aspects of their development.

We believe that the early years of a child’s life are foundational. This is when they shape attitudes toward themselves, their families, society, and the world around them.

We are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and education for every child entrusted to us. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to meet each child’s needs, support their self-esteem, and provide a solid biblical foundation to guide them as they grow and thrive.

Our centre creates a calm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. Our goal is to provide high-quality care and education within a home-like setting, ensuring every family feels supported and valued.

Our highly qualified and experienced educators are passionate about providing a nurturing, learning and loving environment for all our kids. We aim to reflect the individuality of the children and families we serve tailored to meet the specific needs of our local community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide quality Christian education and care that nurtures and supports young children to flourish—spiritually, emotionally, and developmentally. We strive to inspire children to love God, love themselves, and embrace the joy of learning, laying strong foundations for lifelong growth and success.

Centre Philosophy

We believe that every individual who walks into our service is a blessing from God, and we warmly welcome you to experience being a valued part of our Parklands community.

At Parklands Little Learners, our philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that children thrive when they are immersed in the wonders of nature. Guided by Christian teaching, we recognise the inherent value of creation, instilling in our learners a profound appreciation for the world around them. Through nature play, children develop spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being, fostering a sense of stewardship and deep connection to the environment as they explore and marvel at the beauty of God’s creation. Our irregular and challenging spaces empower children to identify, assess, and manage risks, building confidence, resilience, and a sense of competence.

Aligned with the Reggio Emilia approach, we view each child as a capable, unique, and curious learner, full of potential. Our curriculum promotes child-led exploration, enabling children to engage in meaningful, open-ended play experiences and social interactions that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. At Parklands Little Learners, we embrace the philosophy that the environment serves as the “third teacher”—a principle central to the Reggio approach. Our thoughtfully designed spaces are intentionally prepared to inspire exploration, imagination, and discovery, reflecting our commitment to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we learn and play, the Yugambeh people, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. We are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our practices, celebrating the rich culture, history, and knowledge of Australia’s First Peoples. We also embrace and celebrate the diverse cultures represented in our families and local community, fostering an inclusive environment where all children and families feel respected, valued, and a sense of belonging.

We believe strong connections to families and the broader community are essential to a child’s learning and development. Families are recognised as the first and most influential teachers, and we actively foster respectful, collaborative partnerships that build trust and shared understanding. Open communication, meaningful conversations, and participation in our programs and events ensure families feel valued and connected to our learning community. By embracing the richness of our diverse community, we strengthen relationships that support the growth and well-being of our children.

At Parklands Little Learners, we are committed to sustainable practices and instilling a sense of responsibility for caring for God’s creation. Through everyday experiences such as recycling, composting, minimising food waste, and caring for our chickens, children learn about sustainable living and develop an appreciation for the natural world. These hands-on opportunities nurture empathy, stewardship, and respect for all living things.

We are dedicated to continuous reflection and improvement, ensuring our practices are informed by current research, professional development opportunities, changes in legislation, and the evolving needs of our families and community. Conversations with educators, children, and families provide valuable insights, enabling us to adapt and grow while maintaining the highest quality of education and care.

We celebrate the privilege of guiding our little learners in a Christ-centered, inclusive, and enriching environment. Together with families and the community, we nurture seeds of knowledge, faith, and care that will flourish in the hearts of our children, inspiring them to reach their God-given potential and become responsible, compassionate members of the world around them.
